Ver.Z28 オフィシャルリリース (2009/11/26) 

インストーラー版を採用した初のバージョンZ28が公式にリリース。変更点は次の通り。

Reduced minimum view height in SHIFT+U mode
Reduced minimum speed in SHIFT+U mode to 0.1 m/s
Multiple host passwords are now stored (Join Specific Host screen)
Added support for lfs:// (start LFS with command line from web page)
FIX : Could not join S1 or S2 host after unlocking in Multiplayer screen
FIX : Clicking SPR / MPR did not work with "Load track when starting"
FIX : Two or more dedicated hosts could be started with same port
FIX : It was possible to reset the car while a vote was in progress
FIX : Help buttons sometimes translated after returning to English

Z25からの変更点は本体・パッチのインストールがインストーラー形式になったこと、またLFS-Worldにも採用されているJoin2LFSと同等の機能が本体に盛り込まれた。Join2LFSとは、WEBブラウザから特殊なリンクが張られたホストをクリックするだけでLFSが起動し直接ホストサーバーに接続できるアドオンツールで、今回からLFSに標準で搭載されるようになった。ダウンロード・詳細はこちら。

オフィシャルパッチリリースとは別に新しいタイヤPhysicsの進歩リポート・今後のプランなども公表された。これらのプランはあくまで予定で変更する可能性もあると前置きがあり次の5項目についてアナウンスがあった。 ・ タイヤの加熱と冷却 ・ AIドライバーの改良 ・ 限定セットアップの新システム ・ サスペンションの改良 ・ VWのスタビリティーコントロール

ざっと重要な項目だけピックアップ。レポートによると、タイヤPhysicsは発熱モデルも見直す予定。スモークの出方もより現実的に発生しているようなSSが記載。AIの改良はタイヤのグリップを今より最大限に利用してコーナーを曲がれるようになる。限定セットアップは当初開発中のWVシロッコのみの予定だったが、多くのロードカーに採用予定。実際のノーマル市販車をパーツ購入なしでセッテイング調整できる範囲（例えばタイヤ圧・トー調整、LRFクラスはアンチロールバー調整など）に限定することにより、よりテクニックを競い合えるレースが期待出来る。このシステムはホストオプションなどに追加される。

新セットアップシステムに伴いサスペンション挙動も見直しへ。開発中のデフォルトセットはかなり柔らかい模様。またより現実に忠実にするため、ブレーキング・加速時のアンチダイブ・アンチスクワット効果のシミュレートなど今のLFSには採用されていない物理的要素も新たにサポートさせたい意向。シロッコのTCSとESCは、複雑で洗練された実際のシステムを完全再現するのではなく、ドライビングに重要な効果だけを再現する予定とのこと。

 LFSがインストーラパッケージに  (2009/11/15) 

これまですべてのバージョンがZIP圧縮で配布・販売されていたLFSが、最終的にはインストーラ版になるとのこと。

これにはVista以降の新しいOSで増加しているUAC絡みのユーザー権限の問題が原因で、基本的にLFS開発側でも「Program Files」へのインストールは推薦されていない。

まだテスト版でインストールするには注意が必要で、今あるLFSフォルダーへの上書きは控えるようにとのこと。ファイルサイズはZIP版が136,832KB、インストーラ版が 137,161KBとほぼ同じサイズ。

試しにインストールしてみた所、通常のインストーラ同様インストールフォルダの選択やスタートメニューへの登録、デスクトップへのショートカット、アンインストーラが付属されていた。

またインストール途中で.SPR .MPR .SET .LYTファイルへの関連付けなどが選べるようになっている。最後にユーザーアカウント作成へのリンクも付加されていた。

 オフィシャルパッチ・Z25  (2009/11/4) 

タイトルから「Alpha」の文字が無くなった最初の公式パッチがリリース。大きな変更は次の通り。

 Degiサーバー Z21 (2009/10/21) 

ホストの一覧表示にUDPを使用した新システムのテスト版・Dedicated host Ver.Z21を公開。今より非常に高速でより少ない帯域幅でホストのリスト表示がされる。LFS本体のVer.Z21以降からこのシステムが採用予定。これまでのTCP使用もサポートされるので、ホスト運営者はZ21にアップデートしてもゲストからの接続には互換性があるとのこと。

 テストパッチ Z19,Z20 (2009/10/18) 

Z19〜Z20の変更内容は、バーチャルモードに続いてリアルモードのインジケータ類の変更、新コマンドの「/view」の追加、ウィンドウサイズの記憶（フルスクリーンからウィンドウモード、または再起動時）、RAC以外のすべてのロードカーからシフトライトを削除など。

また、Z16からOutGaugeの出力データにBATTERYとOilTemp、ABSが新しく追加されているが、ダッシュボードライトのデータが一部変更になった。変更点は次の通り。
